Free Herbal Self Care Bags for North Carolina BIPOC and LGBTQIA+ Folx:
In response to Covid19 and lack of access to direct care, in June of 2020, The Compassion Access Project redirected donations to support the Free Herbal Self Care Bag program to BIPOC in the Durham, NC area who may be suffering from depression, anxiety, insomnia, or simply in need of some extra love and support from their community.
In July of 2020, we expanded the Free Herbal Self Care Bag program to include local BIPOC and all local LGBTQIA+ community members to fully embrace our mission of service. From June 2020 - Dec 2020, we successfully distributed 300+ Herbal Self Care Bags to neighbors in need. This offering is continuing throughout 2021 (and hopefully forever!)
Current Herbal Self Care Bags include: ~ Choice of medicinal herbs including tinctures, loose leaf teas, capsules, and topicals ~ Two paper face masks ~ Two stress reducing tea bags ~ One EmergenC packet ~ Wildflower Seed Packets from The Pollinator Project ~ Compassion Acupuncture Project Sticker and Magnet * Reusable Loose Leaf Tea Straws * Reusable Classic Metal Straws * CBD Topical Pain Relief Gel sample packet * Reflexology Foot Chart (* when supplies available)
** Most of our herbs are provided by our partners at Rock N Roots Farm and several BIPOC herbalists local to North Carolina
