Calendula: Calendula officinalis, Jin Zhan Ju


Calendula flowers hold the brightness of the sun and shines into our kitchen apothecaries.  Both medicinal and edible, calendula is a wonderful flower with powerful antioxidant properties.  These flowers were grown organically by our dear friends at Rock N Roots Farm.  It’s easy to understand why calendula is a family favorite.


Suggested Uses:


~ Hot or cold infuse tea; pairs well with rose, citrus, and honey

~ Remove green bottom, and add flower florets to salads and quiches

~ Simmer full dried flowers into soups and stocks

~ Use as a poultice for burns and skin healing

~ Infuse into oil for topical use

~ Add to herbal bath for aromatic, digestive and skin soothing properties
